quite simply, what a dick! so why arent you honest and admit that your 1% pay raise will actually equate to a reduction in pay in real terms. Remember were all in it together, which is why weve seen a reduction in the top rate of tax, will soon see a reduction in the base rate of tax which will mainly reward the richest, used quantitive easing to help grow the cash hoards of the richest, still havent done anything about tax loop holes, have signed up to the worlds most expensive toy train set, agreed to a massively over publicly funded nuclear power station and an extortionate price for power, begun the privatisation of the NHS, increasing the prescription charge well beyond inflation, messed up the benefits system leading seeing claimants going without cash for months .... At least its good you didnt cut spending on the NHS like you promised in your election campaign /sarcasm
