Perhaps that is why we treasure love so; it allows us retain a connection with the beloved even when the inevitable wash of time bears it hence, away from our longing grasp. Wise love recognizes the gap between subject and object and embraces it, thus defeating cruel father times decree that all that we love must ultimately fade from view.
