/rant/ I reject the notion that we are not #CharlieHebdo. Granted, there is systematic oppression worldwide and many people do not enjoy, to the full extent of any law, their rights as human beings. But to say that satire is wrong, that it hurts people, or whatever other excuse one can make is just far-fetched, in my opinion. It seems that some people who fight for civil rights forget that free speech rights extend very far except in cases of Libel. Making fun of people or situations, in any situation, may offend people, but that type of fighting comes from all side. The left attacks the right, the right attacks the left, workers go after bosses, bosses go after workers, etc. Thats what this is about, to be able to live and speak without retribution unless someone actually stops a person from being able to live their life freely. Rights to not stop at your doorstep alone, they never stop and are universal. /end rant/
