read Isaiah 57:1-2 in the KING JAMES Version - the Hebrew word translated "perish" could also be translated "VANISH" ! THE GODLY PEOPLE VANISH FROM THE EARTH ... AND NO ONE CONSIDERS THAT THEY ARE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE EVIL TO COME. Either way rings true. One day those in Christ (the only people who could be called "righteous or godly") will disappear, or be "swept away","gathered together", or "taken away" as some other translations say - from the "evil to come" ... or you could say from the wrath to come ... * see also Isaiah 26:19-21, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 *
