read Psalm 130:6: “I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.” – Ancient cities had sentries who watched for attackers. It was a lonely job as they walked the streets and walls in the blackness of the night. It was dangerous job if an attack did come. As watchmen fought off sleep and boredom, they anxiously waited for the end of their shift and the dawn of the new day. You and I live in a dark world but we can walk in the light of His inner presence on the streets of this life.. Like watchmen, let’s wait the dawn of the new heaven and new earth that God promises us. I’m going to look up and hope in the Lord today! You too?
