reading your stories today… Got this from a 6th grade class in Canada… This is what Christmas is all about! Dear Matthew, We go to St. Elizabeth school in Thunder Bay, ON Canada. Our school has a tradition of giving to the less fortunate in our community every Christmas season. Every year, for the past 20 years we have the grade 6 students run a yard sale to raise money to buy groceries. We take our hard earned money to a local grocery store where we buy non-perishable food, then we (the grade 6 students) hand deliver the food to Shelter House Thunder Bay. The Shelter House provides a roof, food and a bed to sleep on for people who cant afford it. We also volunteer outré time there, as a class, 4 times a year! This year we took our tradition a step further by making a website https://give4christmaschallenge.wordpress to inspire other schools, businesses, families, etc. to begin or share their own Christmas tradition of giving! We would love if we would be able to use one of your songs (Give this Christmas Away) in our annual Shelter House video to promote our cause. The lyrics really relate to our story.
