really recommend this presentation about democratic innovations as a practice as well as an academic field, and about two very interesting examples more specifically - Participatory Budgeting and a Citizens Council in British Columbia. (you dont have to watch nearly all of the presentation, just a few minutes from the time-point linked) I feel like this man stole my biggest academic and activist ambition in politics, along with the theoretical and practical approach, specific arguments etc. almost as a whole! This is basically what I want to do :) The fact that he started studying it long before me of course does not concern my hypotheses in the least bit... #democraticinnovationftw #okayIactuallywanttodoalotofstuff
