reason/archives/2014/09/22/the-peoples-climate-march ( 2 2 September 2 0 1 4 , Monday ) - - Predictably , the lemmings who crowded NEW YORK yesterday lugged some of the dumbest , and crudest , of placards denouncing CHARLES and DAVID KOCH , which leads this typist to suspect : Many of the grievously annoying folk that participated in the People s Climate March almost certainly were present at the demonstration in March condemning NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL for accepting a One - Hundred - Million - Dollar donation from Charles Koch for the construction of a new cancer - treatment - and - research facility . At that time , the demonstration did not include AL GOREACLE GORE , Mayor BILL DE BLASIO , LEONARDO DiCAPRIO nor one of the biggest public nuisances I ve ever had the misfortune to meet , BERNARD SANDERS - all of whom lent their tedious selves to yesterday s event . Have a look at the placards in the photograph below , and notice 1 1 9 9 S E I U printed at the bottom . Inevitably , SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION would contribute their obnoxious , hyper - aggressive mob to the People s Climate March as did they to the anti - Koch revival of six months ago . Lest we forget : we are just three years removed from one of the least sanitary and most disgusting rallies New Yorkers have experienced this decade , OCCUPY WALL STREET . No indication as yet whether any of the participants in yesterday s People s Climate March trashed public lavatories , anointed police cars with excrement , interfered with a Police investigation of a suicide , copulated in public , left behind large quantities of rotting food , subjected residents of New York to vastly larger swarms of parasites [ e . g . , LICE ] , harassed Parents and Children who walk to school or disturbed the peace with Human Microphones and drums . In short : Progressive cannon fodder for the inalienable right to electrical power that is far costlier , much less abundant , vastly more reliant on huge swathes of land and deadlier by a wide margin to Migratory Birds - to say nothing of food that is expensive to produce and far less likely to ameliorate famine . The stupidest throngs since the proposed Nuclear Freeze circa 1 9 8 0 , and No Nukes circa 1 9 7 8 . . . .
