recently, Z wanted to open a savings account and the woman at my bank who was assigned to help us was clearly irritated that she had to be bothered with our questions and was so unpleasant at every turn that Z finally said I dont want to do this anymore. Ill see you at home. and left. Friday i deposited $95.00 IN CASH (oh I admit I did this in the afternoon) but it wasnt showing up on my account at all as of yesterday (MONDAY) so wasted an hour with the manager trying to sort it out (thanks be I SAVED MY DEPOSIT SLIP). finally he told me that he couldnt do anything till tomorrow (TUESDAY) because it wasnt showing up and no one was taking his calls. i told him that i appreciated that it wasnt his fault personally but that i really dont feel im getting good customer service lately and he stated emphatically that the bank had suffered a glitch and messed up and asked me what he could do to make me feel better about that. i couldnt help but tell him that when i screw up my account they charge me a lot of money for that mistake but when they screw it up i seem to get nothing but groveling and apologies. oh if you get charged any fees due to this ill take them off your account. he assures me. yeah, thanks for nothing, let me out of this office. had a check to cash and there was only one other person in line and two tellers so the odds seemed good. then a woman with her leg in bandages came up and asked if she could cut in front of me. of course she can! when the next teller is free the woman in front waves her ahead too, poor thing... turns out she wants to have a discussion with her teller about a loan and changing it and her rates and other rates and needs to withdraw money from this account and deposit money in another and no, no hasnt filled out any slips and on and on and the other window is busy with a business customer counting out bags and bags of money and coins and finally after half an hour standing there to cash one little check i just give up and go home. banks suck.
