remnants of a dangli or sacrificed carabao (water buffalo) for the dead the carabao skull plus the horns intact are placed in the sides or front of the house it is not for trophy or memento purposes it was just a tradition that was handed down from generation to generation when i was a kid in Linda (kiangan), a carabao skull was left rotting on a pole (just where the dangli was felled) and no one dared to throw it away it was months before the stench was gone and the carabao skull was affixed on the wall outside the house today, you would not even see an intact carabao head used as a dangli almost everything is scavenged for odd things , except the poor carabao teeth just sharing
