report_01/2015 - ENG Tuareg Rallye 2015 - preparations at full blast Orga-Team met at Zaubermühle, Dinkelsbühl. A perfect Rallye needs perfect set-up. Way more than 20,000 km of pistes, trails and rough terrain have already been done by car and bike for the tracks of the 2015 edition of our Tuareg Rallye. This first report is to allow you a little, indeed a very little peek behind the scenes. Apart from numerous scouting tours, which are crucial to find the appropriate tracks and to produce a reliable road book, there are a lot of nitty gritty details to be planned beforehand. THE JOURNEY IS IT´S OWN REWARD: How many vehicles are required for which terrain? From sweeper truck to CP to medic’s vehicles; Whether Car, bike or Quad – If you have stages of up to 360 km you need to challenge some decisions: Which person sits with which skills and qualification in which vehicle to ensure best track coverage and, if necessary, provide immediate medical treatment? Who gets assigned which organization tasks? Who are your go-to guys along the track and in the camps? To permit you to experience another perfect rallye adventure in 2015 it was big orgs-meeting time at Zaubermühle, Dinkelsbühl (Germany ). Friday to Sunday all those details were discussed and planned under tried and true direction of Rainer. All of that organ style of course – concluding the evening over a beer having some good time and chats with friends. INTERESTING: During the entire Rallye you will have a team of 42 persons, 4 trucks, 8 4×4 cars, 8 bikes and 11 medic cars placed at your disposal. NEEDS TO BE MENTIONED: The 2015 Tuareg Rallye expects a number of entrants that is exceeding all previous edition of this great event. Approximately 200 vehicles will be in competition. THE KEY TO SUCCESS: Allignment of all planning with all orga team members to get everything out of your way to having a perfect rallye week.
