rise n shine, bout that time! :-) another song to share this morning. a contender in my all-time top 20--which is near completion--just some minor shuffling at this point. of course this song is there, it has been for over 2 decades, though this year it looks like it will fall from the Top 10 for the first time since 1995. for me it is one of the greatest tunes ever penned--and the best ever by U2. it speaks to me on so many levels, from intimate relationships, to friendship, community and universal connections, as well as utopian Ones. every word is perfectly placed and delivered, reaches out from a space in the heart that longs for hope, begs the Light to remain, offers forgiveness. simply beautiful in every way. there are 3 videos for this song with 3 different interpretations. my favorite by Anton Corbijn, which is more universal in nature, is attached here. another by Phil Joanou, which is more intimate relationship oriented, is attached in comments. the third by Mark Pellington, is more natural and relies less on people... so here is U2s One make it a day of Grace and forgiveness peeps. big Love to each of You lyrics: is it getting better or do You feel the same will it make it easier on You now You got someone to blame You say...
