School enrollment totals 82. Mr. Harvey Palmatory, has been bringing boys and girls from the country in his school bus which is making their attendance at Bible School possible. ********* -Vacation Bible School Commencement- The Vacation Bible School Commencement will be held at the Higbee Baptist Church on Friday evening, June 9th, at 8:00. All Relatives and friends of the Bible School pupils are particularly invited to attend the Commencement service. The boys and girls will present a program of what they have learned during the school. Hard work and the things they made during the two weeks will be on display that evening. ********** - Vacation Bible school Picnic - The Higbee Baptist Bible School, will have its picnic on Monday June 12th, at Rothwell Park, in Moberly. Boys and girls are to meet at the church Monday at ten a.m., prepared to leave. Transportation to and from the park will be provided. (Transcription of the Old Higbee News by-rgdennis) (ron’s note – There are a lot of people listed here that i had forgotten about. i would say me and my family were living in the east part of town, a couple of streets east of the Higbee School on Jefferson street. i would have been 3 months shy of my 7th birthday. J.D. would have been about 14 months younger than me. Joe Bill would have been about 6 weeks shy of his 4th birthday.)
