saapya rant: the revolution will not be facebooked, no matter who stays friends or not. many statuses lately are: unfriend me/de-friending/blocking because of deep disagreement around state sponsored violence. but how is anything supposed to change if we cannot turn towards each other rather than away. were not saying spend precious energy on fbk and how it can deaden ears. its just that this platform is not the terrain of our truest battles. we believe this platform does not necessarily deserve the heartache of our more brittle, brawling moments. what does not bend, breaks, and yet theres all this breaking via statuses that obscures and undermines all the potent bending that is actually happening on the liberation based ground of our real lives, real friendships and real connections. keep bending, and not breaking, where it matters most.
