saw “Neighbors”; Seth Rogen is the one to contemplate here, as his maturation through the responsibility he’s forced to maintain as a new father. If we jump back to the mid-to-late 2000’s, Rogen was the immature clown of “40 Year Old Virgin” and “Superbad” – which is now eclipsed by the former “High School Musical” and “17 Again” American perfect youngster Zac Efron. What seems to be a blink of the eye, and we see how the tables have turn to Efron becoming king of the fraternity and Rogen sincere effort to maintain some sort of normality, while still trying to remain hip. Although not as funny as director Nicholas Stoller’s “Get Him to the Greek” (2010) – in an interview for ‘The Playlist’ (see link below), Stoller displays craft in building a comedy set to invest the audience further into the story and characters than composing one crude joke after another.
