saw three movies this weekend . . . Bad Words . . . a good flick . . . I really like Jason Bateman and was happy to see his (film) directorial debut go well . . . I also think he is one of the best comedic actors around right now . . . I was looking for a bit more punch in the back story of the main character and in the ending, but it was fine Sabotage . . . saw this about 15 minutes after Bad Words ended . . . in other words, I went from a theater filled with fit 18-25 year olds to a theater peppered with . . . well, a very different crowd . . . this movie was slightly better than I thought it was going to be . . . some okay acting (NOT Ahhnold) . . . some nice twists . . . and Olivia Williams trying out a southern drawl (in only about half of her scenes) The Grand Budapest Hotel . . . equal parts whimsy and frivolity with a heavy dose of the same actors and scenes that you have seen in nearly all of this guys movies (to the point that I think he is making fun of his own style at times) . . . Wes Anderson is the Beck of film directors . . . making artsy movies for hipsters to occupy their time between their Ikea orders
