All members of this group including monks who are not aware of the true approach of RK Math & Mission will be shocked to read the bold statements in RK Math & Mission publications before 1947 to defend Hinduism . 1926 was an year many Direct Monastic Disciples were alive. And in the same year Swami Ashokananda writes a lengthy 11 page article in the 50 page magazine in defence of Hinduism deploring attacks on Hindus in Bengal and asking Hindus to be bold and brave... as most of us know Ashokananda was a disciple of Swamiji Extracts from the article - Lessons from Pabna Riots Prabuddha Bharata September 1926 ......The first thing to be done is to adopt certain measures. to put an immediate stop to the mischiefs of the rowdies. We must offer physical resistance . We must bring it home to them that they cannot any more insult us with impunity. No offensive aggression or ruthless retaliation however, but stout and steady resistance to Muhammadan offensive (be it an attack on womanhood, on religion or civic rights) even unto death. You can no more win them over by sweet reasonableness and self-surrender than check the depredations of a tiger by pious sermons.... Believe me this is not a isolated article but there are many such articles and more aggressive statements from even the Direct Disciples during the same period. Things started changing after the Math & Mission decided to adopt Nehruvian thoughts as their mainstream idea when approaching national and social issues..... may be post independence era....
