Cuong Lewis, one of our coaches of Little League Baseball, and also Baseball Coach at Pryor Middle School. We are greatful for all his efforts in our League. We reach out to you now to help Cuong and his family through a very rough road in their lives. Please read below a short paragraph from Cuongs wife and reach out to his family if you can possibly help. ****************************************************** Good evening friends, Just an update on Cuongs Kidney failure. He is currently receiving 5 hours of dialysis 3 times a week. The treatments are giving him migraine headaches and leave him exhausted. He had a great day at a football game at the Senior bowl with the Peters, Gorntos, and Holguins. Hope to see this a reoccurring event for the boys to enjoy every year. We leave Thursday for Ochsner to get on their transplant waiting list. It could take 4-7 years. Until then, the dialysis is keeping him alive. The deductible just flipped around again for the new year at $7500.00. Thru all this, his worries are not only of his families well being, he still wants to get out to work with the kids and also help coach Pryor Middle School Baseball. and basketball. We have made large changes in our meal preparation to help and changed around the schedule as much as possible so that he can attempt to work before the transplant unless he is too exhausted. Most nights his legs are swollen like watermelons and his face is too. BUT... He is TRYING! Trying his best to still provide for his family and the constant additions of medical bills seems to be overwhelming. Once he gets the transplant, he will be unavailable to work for at least 3 months. With no income during this time, we are certainly grateful for this fundraising organization.
