sharing: I handle all the animal welfare checks in Hood County. I received a call regarding a pitbull and chihuahua mix. I applied for a seizure warrant and with deputy assistance, seized both dogs. Today, I went to court to fight for custody of both of them. The judge awarded us custody of both! Now, I am desperate to find a rescue who will take them. While in the ten day hold, I took both dogs to the vet. The vet did a full exam and blood work up on the pitbull. He is heart worm negative! He was severely emaciated, infested with fleas and worms. We have wormed him and given him a bath and comfortis for the fleas. He has gained 4 lbs since in our care. The chihuahua mix we have treated for tape worms and fleas. The chihuahua is approx 4 months old and is as sweet as can be. Gets along great with other dogs and people. The pitbull is so sweet and feeling better every day. He is so forgiving for everything that he has been put through. Please help me find a rescue for these two, they deserve a second chance! Attached are pics of both Please help! Thank you, Sgt.
