sharing from my author friend Jim Hlavac who wrote this book> Americas political, economic and social structure is going through a paradigm change. This novel is about happens if we follow on the road some have set -- the forces of control and big government -- and what happens if the forces for liberty and small government rise up against it. Is is completely fiction, except it is based on thousands of articles, blog posts, comments and Facebook threads that I have read ... and from what I feel is going on. Its a cautionary tale against more calls for law and order and more there ought to be a law and more the government will solve this problem mentalities ... which are held by Democrat & Republican, Left & Right, Socialist & Capitalist, and Liberal & Conservative alike. It covers a 40 year period of time, starting in the recent past, and continuing on into the future ... as we move forward, as is said. It was famously quipped that a capitalist would sell the rope to the communist to get hung .. but in reality weve been handing over the rope store & factory to our own government, which is out of control. The reality this nation faces is endless more government, about which Stalin would have giggled, or what I call the Great Dismantlement. Its a novel, to be sure, but it is realistic as I see so many people argue for more of the same -- more government. Super-powerful government in the hands of a few has never ended well. America is on the wrong path. So, I created a tall tale about what happens if we continue down this path.
