shook his head up and down with strong agreement as he read Proverbs 19:23 this morning: “The fear of the LORD leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.” What a great promise! When you follow God’s purposes and commands, you will enjoy His blessings and benefits. Certainly you will have the normal afflictions and adversities of life. But you will not see the punishments and judgments come from rebellion and remaining in sin. When you have reverence and commitment for God in your daily life, God pours contentment, peace, and satisfaction into your eternal life. I plan to live in the fear of the Lord today! You too?
