shortlifetime says: October 29, 2012 at 5:12 am What is interesting in this most pertinent quote is that Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, according to Srila Prabhupada, formed the Gaudiya Math GBC with the definite intent that that GBC would unify the Math and actually obviate the “appointment” of an acarya. To put it another way the GBC was actually intended to stop the artificial institutionalized appointment of a Math acarya. Furthermore it is clear from the letter that the ISKCON GBC was formed with the same intention, i.e., to stop the condemned “rubber-stamping” of diksa guru acaryas. Once this is understood, then the depth of the ISKCON GBC’s deviation for the desire of Srila Prabhupada becomes even more disgraceful. Why? Because the GBC was intended to stop guru-rubber-stamping, but this is exactly what they have been obsessed with doing since 1977. So the GBC are doing the exact opposite of what Srila Prabhupada wanted them to do by rubber-stamping so-called gurus. Because of this gross deviation, all the rubber-stamped gurus are bogus. This is the unavoidable conclusion. And the practical proof is the constant falldown of the rubber-stamped gurus. Srila Bhaktivinoda, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, Srila Prabhupada all had disciples, but did not “appoint” successors. They taught that guru is “self-effulgent”. This is the only principle of judgement. Everything else, particularly institutionalized guru-stamping by political vote, is one hundred per cent bogus and ever will remain so along with the fools and rascals that take part in such a hollow charade. “Guru is self-effulgent”, that is all one needs to know and follow.
