should a person approach a celebrity on the street be it cinema, sport, literature or politics? I do not do it often. I used to see movie people all the time in NYC and occasionally during my London days too and from time to time elsewhere including Nice.. I do get a kick out of saying hello and a brief conversation and I am respectful and I gage it by the person, if he or she is uncomfortable I just say HELLO and NICE TO SEE YOU and I split.. My most amazing conversation like this was on the street in London with Ingrid Bergman back in the middle 80s just a few months before her death. She was charming and very willing to keep talking.. thanks Ingrid. sure miss ya! I do regret a few times that I did NOT stop and talk. Particularly Miss Jeanne Moreau on Madison Ave some 40 years ago.. oh well....
