slow going at the pier...not much of anything but i was there just as the sun came up and got my big mackerel. whooooohooooo! i sure love those guys...then i had a really big bite i thought a big mackerel but no i now think it was a cobia. they are around alot and it was taking all my line out to sea in a straight steady line i had to tighten my drag and with out missing a beat it kept going snapping my line off near the hook...so yeah cobia...a mackerel would have made a bee line for under the pier. dang....couldnt have gotten it up anyway. no gaff or pier net. im happy to have my big mack seasoned and sitting in the fridge chilling out....life is so good!
