smart and true.... that said, I dont like the glorification of these enterprises. one might ask why these enterprises versus glorifying apple or virgin, as mentioned in the end of the post? well there is a simple answer.... there is no accountability, hence unlimited returns... If these cartels kill hundreds of people with tainted product, nbd, just a small loss in dead clients, but the others are too addicted to walk away, right... innovation, company culture, are all good, but the reality is that we can not glorify these attributes in these cartels with out vilifying the real reasons behind their profit margins. the companies like Patagonia, and Virgin etc, now they have something more important to me, integrity, social and environmental responsibility, these are values that i can stand by them for. we cant look at an entity as parts and establish causality, we have to look at the whole. but in the end the points of culture innovation and flexibility are incredibly powerful. but they are just tools. no values... lets talk about values....
