snacks Im embarrassed to admit that even though Ive played Auntie Mame onstage, I havent always been the most attentive uncle to my own nephew, Jimmy. And its not like he grew up far away from me. He lived on West 74th Street! Although he was always adorable and fun and smart, I think a little bit of me died when at seven years old, I asked him for the name of Peter Pans fairy friend and he snapped his fingers in deep thought and replied umm.... Tinkleberry? I was... well.. devastated. But Ive decided to move on and hes grown into a fascinating young man, and even more adorable and more fun and smarter than he was as a child. And hes a marvelous musician. He really is. He plays guitar with a very cool indie rock band called Adios Ghost. And theyre all cute as can be. So this is the thing. The Deli Magazine, which evidently is a very prestigious online site for those into the indie rock scene, is conducting a poll for the band of the month and Jimmys band, Adios Ghost, is nominated and even has a chance of winning. This is very important. You just click on this link and immediately there youll see the nominated bands listed and click Adios Ghost. Its amazingly simple. If they win, this would be a way for me to finally make up for the Tinkleberry incident. And maybe I could persuade the band to back me up some time at 54 Below with an indie rock version of Hey, Look Me Over. The deadline is April 30th. But we want to see results NOW.
