so, Deep Shikha nominates me to give my list of 10 favorite books roger that Deepshika. not necessarily my top ten - as its really difficult to rate books. Thought i will post the list of ten books that readily comes to my mind. here we go :) 1. Breaking the spell - Daniel dennet (started understanding religion as a phenomenon) 2. The fountain head - Ayn rand - my love (introduced philosophy Objectivism to my peanut brains) 3. The God delusion - Richard dawkins (understood the merits of unlearning) 4. Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption - Stephen king (beautiful novella on fragile hope vs despair) 5. The Selfish gene - Ricahrd dawkins again (Creator vs richard dawkins) 6. Alchemist - Paulo Colho (almost every line of this book makes you contemplate - no exaggeration) 7. My experiments with truth - M. K Gandhi (this guy really understands reverse psychology to its best. what an intellectual!) 8. The virtue of selfishness (collection of essays) - by Nathaniel Branden & Ayn rand (you hate me / like me - this book to be blamed) 9. Julius Caesar - name unneeded (and you, too, Brutus? - just for this line, i have read it twice :) 10. Miss Pavithra ( a novel in telugu on feminism) - by my late aunt Ms. Sarah (this in the list coz - if not for Ms. Sarahs works, i wudnt take up reading as i used to consider it to be for plain & lifeless ppl :)) i like breaking chains these kind & feel lil rebellious doing that. so will nominate no one! :)
