so Rasagolla has no Bengali connection, except a bad and a failed case of plagiarism, by Nobin Chadra das, the father of K C Das. The birth of the famous sweet is credited to Odisha, where it existed since times immemorial. Mythology states that Joga da gave it to his consort Lakshmi after she returned home from the 7 day rath yatra. So Rasagolla is a out-and-out Odisha creations, which all Utkal- bashis can be proud of.
