so, after waiting nearly 2 weeks to get approval to adopt a dog from a shelter in NJ, I received approval on Thursday, and fortunately one of the 7 lab puppies I had my eye on was still available. They have me make an appointment as all the animals are in foster care. We set it for 2pm today. The girl doesnt send me an address so I assume that the appointment is at their actual shelter. We set out early, for the 50 minute drive and arrive at 1:45. When we get there we find that the girl who set our appointment also set one earlier in the day and the dog was adopted this morning. I know these things always work out for the best and well get the dog were meant to have but this is now strike 2. Have to restart the process yet again at another shelter, or wait for other puppies to arrive in a few weeks at this one.
