so i have a question.. i moved in a house that nova scotia power said the bill from the previous tenants was about 120 a month. so to be safe so i thought i told them to make my budget 140 a month. after the first year i ended up owing them 1400.00. they rolled it over and my bill jumped from 140.00 to 377.00 a month. way too much not to mention the oil was also bad and cost 800.00 to fill the tank. i had to move because it was just too expensive . this was in june. so they rolled what i had left owing in 6 months and i ended up with a 277.00 bill a month in an apartment that should have cost 50.00 a month but they wanted to have me pay up the balance before this year ended. issue is i am a mother of two and on a fixed income and have not been able to reach there 277.00 they wanted. i do pay as much as i can . so the question is , is there anything i can do to not lose my power but have the payments reduced to be affordable . without them telling me no all the time. i called them twice and they said there is nothing they can do.
