so i wanna start a thing called fishy friday. in the drag/trans world, being fishy means excelling at being a woman. so, cause i like the word, i like to think that in the rest of the world, being fishy means being kickass at what you love to do/be. being a creative type means i use facebook to promote my own shit, and thats good, but each friday i want to use it to introduce you to, or remind you of, a different person who i think is particularly fishy. my two rules are: 1. i have to know, or at least have met, the person. 2. i have to connect you somehow to whatever it is they are currently doing/being. being and doing only what you love can be a bit tricky and lonesome at times (although mainly awesome), so i thought itd be good to be reminded of all the people i know and have met that are doing the same thing :) please join in and do this fishy friday thing too if you want! ill start with my ol mate Lisa Salvo. i met her years ago at music school, and we bonded over her great pitch and some oddly matching jigsaw puzzle pieces of the past. we also started The Furbelows together. she has been patiently and diligently working on her debut album to be released soon. it sounds beautiful and magical and honest. just like her really! she is launching her first ever film clip from said album this Sunday night. heres the link to the clip and the invite. shell have a website soon, but not yet, so if you like her stuff use the old fb. #fishyfriday youtube/watch?v=jfiMuPGHPEg https://facebook/events/282636931939714/
