so its saturday night, im at the shop watching paint dry, yes i said watching paint dry, and no, im not kidding, im thinking of my daughter and how she makes me feel a little taller than i really am. pic one is her on the left, shiny and clean with my step child Hannah who thankfully still calls me daddy john even though its not cool, pic two is of course her in her battle attire as i seem to see her mostly, and pic three with her homecoming date heath, or keith, or benny, who really cares i dont like him(kidding)(or not), and i have to say im so proud of the young lady she has become. as i walked her out on the field last night i told her i felt that i was losing her, and its odd the feeling you get as a dad i guess, realizing that as your children grow up you dont seem to be needed as much, and then they are gone. so before you slip completely away, thank you for the beauty that your face does not show, thank you for the smart that your grades do not show, and thank you for holding my hand one more time...love ya
