so many moments on my trip to Rome were Soul stirring...but maybe none more so than when I went before the True Cross...it was in a small side chapel in the Santa Croce Church...there were 3 nuns kneeling in pews praying when I entered...I walked up to the alter and gazed upon the tool of our redemption....it is behind a glass wall and only a piece about 12 by 12 inches now, but there it was...my eyes went to the floor...I truly could not bring myself to look upon it...I went to my knees and bowed...lower...and lower...till my head touched the marble floor...so many feelings went through me..plete Humility, Unworthiness, Gratitude, Love....and a total desire to turn from Sin, I was so aware of my Sins and how much I had hurt Our Lord...as I knelt before the Cross I only wanted to please God...and to feel worthy , and I knew that was a small glimpse of what it will be like when we stand before God...God only Loves and Forgives us...but when we stand before him we will convict ourself...our Sins will be so repulsive and we will feel so unworthy of Heaven ....I pray my Heart is convicted every day and every night...I pray every ones Hearts are convicted! we need to pray for each other to have the strength to turn from Sin...nothing this World has to offer can match Eternity in Paradise!
