...so mine and woodys saga today :0) went to have my daily routine of doing recall with woody in an area fenced its actually rails... Well to Woodys excitement a squirrel was on the other side of the railings and so the skinny little sod squeezed his ribs through the railings to try and climb the tree after so squirrel to then find that he was in a wooded area where his hatred of squirrels was all around him!!..so off woody went on his 10 minute mission to bark and chase every squirrel he found and think that every tree has one!!.. Well one Mel Taylor was standing squeaking his toy and calling his name whilst listening to the crashing of twigs and the woody bark.... you know that moment when you know you have to have faith that ur dog will come back and u have to stay calm and just keep calling and listening especially as recall is new and so is ur rescue Poddie!!.. well my little boy did chase his squirrels and he did keep close in the woods and yes he did come back with a face covered in spittle panting heavily but yes my little man came back to me after allowing him his time to hunt and release :0) massive praise and treats a near heart attack experience a lot of faith and a brisk walk home :0) .... Id like to think that we are getting there and my crazy dog will only get better in time with some more patience and faith :0)
