so riley went to PT and ST today at country side. Speech Therapy said to cut out the bottle and just to indroduce a passifier at each feed. When she gets used to the texture and feel of a passifier in her mouth and associate sucking with the feeling of getting full. Then we will incorporate the flavor of formula once the passifier is mastered. Physical Therapy said to work on her neck. She has been favoring her left which has resulted in tight muscles on the opposite side. She suggested stretching her neck during my massages to help loosen the muscles and do alot of mid-line practicing. getting her to hold her hands together and explore her face and cloths more then she has been. Just discovered she could hold her hands together yesterday :) but besides that keep doing tummy time on my chest (or boppy) and work the angle i lay at lower and lower till she is strong enough to lay flat on the ground and play unassisted or coaxed to work out. so pretty much in a nutshell: offer a passi every feed and exercise, stretch, and master her midline :)
