so someone asked in a previous post to post whats going on up here... well, the Alder has been in the upper harbor all day breaking ice- here is not real great video footage, but when I had it rolling the Alder decided to do a whirly twirly in front of me, so you get a look at all angles of the ship. I sped it up otherwise the video would have been 5-6 minutes long, towards the end it is real time so you can hear whats going on too. Ice here is new ice formed from the past couple days, really thin... the chunky ice was much worse further out and its really slow going for Mesabi.. Sorry about the wind, wasnt set up to handle it and its crappy in cam mic... sandbags etc next time... wind was bad... however the guy next to me had some epic ring tones at the end of the vid that make it worthwhile...:)
