so someone on wordpress posted a picture of a piece about to appear in some annual erotic embroidery show in the states (It wasnt thier own work). I commented with a discussion of the role of modern art mainly as a shock tactic, and grayson perrys theory that the ideas behind a piece of art can be interesting but still result in crap art. I then suggested that the erotic embrodieries Id seen would all be far more shocking if the technique was beyond reproach instead of being the needlework equivalent of an email with such poor grammar and spelling that it becomes illegible and gets deleted unread. bet that comment doesnt get unmoderated... (I have troll moments when the tide of shit embroidery on the net gets to me. Im never actaully rude, although Im sure Im percieved as such. one day someone will be brave enough to unmoderate my comment and have a grown up discussion with me. I only leave constructive criticism on work offered for sale or public exhibition, which I reckon are fair game.)
