so, the feds grant Henderson PD $610,000 to start an online stolen property recovery department or program. That amount of money pays for 6 officers and equipment for one year. THEN WHAT???? Then the budget for Clark County must be increased from then on to support a program that will be so costly and unproductive. This is why we have a $6.2 BILLION budget in Clark County. The grant sets up a program, then the tax payer pays for it until our County Commissioners get shamed or embarrassed enough at the failure to say something to stop it. NO MORE FEDERAL GRANT MONEY.
