so the next chapter - I went to a new endocrinologist. My thyroid was making 4 times the amount of hormones it was supposed to. I started taking medicine to slow down the thyroid hormone production and also heart meds for my fast heart rate. Unfortunately the medicine was not strong enough to help and the doc recommended radioactive iodine treatment. Basically it was a radio active pill that I had to swallow which would cause the thyroid to slow production down. I remember the lady bringing the pill into the room in a metal container. She said after I leave the room unscrew it the lid, swallow the pill, and finish the glass of water. LOL. After I went home I had to wipe down the toilet after using it. I couldnt share a bed with anyone. Couldnt go near animals or children. The radio activeness of the meds could actually cause problems for other people. Sort of like second hand smoke can harm those around smokers. It was only for 3 days but the effects would stay with me forever.
