so there is a tree that leans over my house and all the bark has fallen off of the trunk and mushrooms are growing on the trunk ( its dying ) so 2 days ago i get a come along and some chain and my trusty battery powered chainsaw and i set out to cut the big limb off that is over the house so if it falls , it might not fall on the house . i hook the chain to the limb , and the come along to the chain and my toyota pick up back bumper, and i start cutting . i crank the come along tight and decide to try to use the pu to pull the limb down away from the house . i start pulling and as i release the clutch , theres a POP and the limb starts falling and pulling the pick up backwards ! luckily , it fell slowly ( because it was dragging a small pick up ) and it settled on the roof then slid off to 1 side , bending the rain gutter a little . but all in all ... it coulda been a lot worse !
