so, this Healthcare.gov stuff is confusing (and my gut says it will be a big mess BUT) I have been trained on it, so I just want to offer help to anyone that has specific questions...even after open enrollment has ended there will be, just like with work insurance, special reasons you can enroll at any time...I may not be able to answer it but if I can I will... personally I think next year tax time is going to be a MESS...a HUGE HUGE MESS...like people are going to be rioting in the streets...ok maybe not that dramatic, but we have run into so many people who are falling through the gaps (healthcare.gov not getting the info to the insurance companies after they enroll, or applications being lost...a co-worker spent 4 hours on hold Thursday and never got to speak to anyone because they closed at 5 and just hung up on her...an average wait times for us to talk to someone on the phone is over 30 min) it scares me people are thinking they are covered but they arent...the penalty for not having insurance isnt as straightforward as it seems...I really think 100 different people who didnt talk to each other made up stuff and threw it all together...this year should have been some kind of beta test to work out kinks...
