socially Hindu is not a religion its geographical nd traditional name,it came from indu word word as we started calling our nation hindustan,so when we say that hinduism or hindu is a religion we keep it in low profile but its vision is too broad to understand, so constitutionally the person who is not muslim,christian,parsi nd jew is hindu so hindu is the land mother nation nd rest religion are branches that are following hindu base.
