some news: Were scaling back on our salad dressing business. Weve decided to just sell the salad dressing in house only. This means that Wards and the Co-op will no longer carry Satchels Secret Salad Dressing. So sorry for the inconvenience factor here. There is more to the story than is easily explained, but lets just say we are focusing more energies inward. Our dressing is now exclusively available on site at Satchels or Lightnin Salvage. We are changing over to local sources for our sausage. While our costs for sausage will be going up, weve decided to source from two local farms and provide a local, more natural sausage. Brian at Full Circle Farm in Live Oak raises forest fed pigs and CW of C and J Farm in Gainesville raises grain fed pigs that are getting fed partly from vegetable scraps that are picked up from Wards supermarket. Well still have our spicy link sausage for a week or two, but after 11 years were going to transition to this new local source and use a crumbled mild pan sausage that we spice in house. We are still excited and committed to making sodas. Our Stevie Z is our zero calorie cola sweetened with natural stevia. A plant based sweetener that is 300x sweeter than sugar, stevia is the natural solution to a craving for a sweet soda without potentially dangerous chemicals like aspertame. Ruby root beer continues to be our biggest seller, and I believe Ginnie ginger ale is the best ginger beer in town. Enjoy a homemade soda and slice for lunch or dinner 5 days a week. I have a plan to make our medium pizza box design into a cut-out of an airplane. As some of you may know our large pizza box can be made into a 3D replica of a 1965 Ford Falcon van. Well, the cut-out airplane is coming to the medium box soon. Keep you eyes peeled. It will be in the next few months I feel certain. I envision a few of your customized pizza box airplanes hanging in our dining room by Christmas. I have been following the First Magnitude Brewery for some time, and right on schedule they are ready to launch. I am very impressed with their beers and their attitude. Expect to be drinking some new Gainesville beers with your pizza in the coming weeks. Whether you like a blonde beer, an easy drinking pale ale, or a light brown porter, these beers will make my pizzas taste even better! So excited for our town. So excited. And finally, thanks to everyone who helped make this our best summer ever at Satchels. Not only were we busier than ever but we have a stellar staff and the kindest of customers. I have even more exciting news coming in early September so check back to our page. You know how facebook may decide to show our post today but not tomorrow? Just get in the habit of typing Satchels Pizza in your search bar. Thanks. We love making lunch dinner and breakfast leftovers. Go gators
