some points to ponder: a)the current government spending on health care is a dismal 1.04% of GDP , one of the lowest in the world; it translates to Rs957 per capita in absolute terms B)citing healthcare systems low absorption capacity and inefficient utilisation funding as an alibi for not raising the spending to 3% GDP is nothing but a specious argument C)Nearly 63 million people are driven in to poverty every year because of out of pocket expenditure on health care
