As well as a GREAT deal of soap boxing about why sheep shearing MUST be done for the health and EXISTENCE of the species. Yes I did say EXISTENCE of the species, and my own personal crusade of imformation to counter the misinformation campaign of political activism put out by PeTA and I will be addressing right here play by play blow by blow exactly why the 4:40 long video by PeTA is utter bullshit. BUT FIRST some really GOOD shearers who actually know how to handle the animals and can do the job CORRECTLY because theyve been trained by other shearers as opposed to slaughterhouse workers. This video shows 4 sheep being shorn in very quick succession at the Calgary Stampede on July 6 2014 by Mark Buick, and at the very end about half of a sheep being shorn by Hilary Geitzen both are well trained men who like the animals and do their best on the job as well as in competition to give them a barbering and nothing more. This is the way its SUPPOSED to be done.
