something from my book. Lies of Love I have learned in life - TopicsExpress

something from my book. Lies of Love I have learned in life that there is no such thing as undying love. All things die and fade away. Now maybe some love has a longer life expectancy then we do but I really don’t think so. All I’ve ever seen is love that only lasts for a short period of time and then, before its dying breath, hits you with a curse that leaves you either crippled or bitter with pain inside. Why is love so hateful and cruel? Why does love act the way it does? I’ll tell you why, it’s because love is a sweet poison. What you don’t realize, and I am included in this, is that love really does not help at all. It makes you feel a form of false comfort and security. These feelings are more apparent in those who do not like being alone, having no one in their corner, no one to back them up. Now when I say this I don’t mean family, even though some of them fade away as well, no I mean people that you give your heart to in a vain attempt to find this evasive thing called “love”. But all in all love is a lie because no one can give an exact explanation as to what love really is! Some people say its happiness with another person, some say it’s a feeling that you get when around someone else, others say it’s a comfort in being in someone’s arms, and these are just a few examples of what people say love is. Something that has no agreeable definition can’t be real. But don’t get me wrong, love is a powerful word. The word, or even the thought of, love can get someone killed or it can save a life. It can comfort you and it can destroy you faster and more efficiently than a nuclear bomb. Just the words “I love you”, along with the feelings associated with the phrase, can land you with a “life-long” partner. So therefore the word love is a necessary part of life I guess. I’m just waiting to see what is so good about it.
