sometimes i wonder if its worth it for anyone to publicly defend themselves after being criticized about something subjective. i often feel like nothing anyone says (that another would feel compelled to challenge) is actually worth challenging, because deep down most people do not respect the opinions of others, and therefore will not take anything that is said about anyone else seriously. they will make up their minds on their own, based on their own experiences. i worry about the other side of the behavioral spectrum. thoughts??
