sometimes people just need to be heard.... to be seen.... to know that they matter...... a young lady stopped in today seeking help.... but more than that she needed to be heard..... she needed to know that her heart ache mattered..... her mom has cancer and they couldnt remove it all with surgery leaving her battling the disease with treatments and sickness.... she was forced to quit her job and now has no income..... the young lady is taking care of her mom and right now is unemployed as well..... they are doing the best they can..... she needed to hear that God had not punished them for something.... that sickness comes to the righteous and the unrighteous..... that in all circumstances HE is faithful and true and will use this battle of pain to shape.... to grow.... and to make them stronger.... and will bring out of it a testimony of HIS goodness and faithfulness...... I was able to share with her my own testimony of my moms death when I was 16 and how God used it to draw me closer to HIM and through it HE made me stronger..... she said she needed to hear that today because it was hard..... and she needed to be reminded that God has a plan....and there is HOPE..... The ministry of TAKE 5 is much more than a hand out.... it is an open door to people outside who really do matter..... its a much bigger picture........
