status of the Great Hippie Global Vagabond Tour: Its comin down to the wire! Starting to experience a smidge of trepidation.....which will pass when I slap on the travel duds, chunk the suitcase into the car and zoom off into the sunset.....if we can even SEE it through all the rain. Sheesh! Mr. Bills bestie for 50+ years is here to transport us and our stuff to Lauderdale by-the-Sea (dont be too impressed; its Dales roomies abode), where weve been invited to spend Thanksgiving. Then the day after we will be flying off to the equator.......hence, the name of the country, Ecuador; Spanish for equator.....I know, you already knew that, but I just thought Id toss it in there to make myself look smarter. Oh, didnt work, huh? Anyway, we have complete many - dare I say most - of our pre-flee tasks, and now all thats left is to de-fuzz my appendages, pack and clean the apt. We have friends checking in occasionally to prevent invasion by multi-legged and two-legged squatters in our absence. *shudder* And valuables have been banished to the safe-deposit box, therefore anyone who thinks, Oh goodie! Theyre leaving, so I can go burgle to my hearts content would be either sadly disappointed or confronted by vigilant Bill-and-Peach fans. Anyway, final au revoirs (did I get that right, Annie?) and last-minute dont forgets will be done today or Monday - Yes, I know, I skipped Sunday. Sunday is NFL football aaaaaaaalllllll day, and our last NFL Sunday here. We have been assured there is NFL shown in Cuenca. Hope so. If not, Mr. Bill may perish..... So, children, the time is nigh for the Great Hippie Global Vagabond tour to begin, or as I used to say over the PA system at one of my previous jobs, ....its fixin to commence. .....Aya en el rancho grande, aya donde vivia!.....
