stevemoyer.us/blog/?p=472 Who are you? This is one of the most important questions anyone can ask. What is your purpose? Purposefulness is a virtue. Its a good thing to have a purpose when ones purpose is virtuous. WORLD DOMINATION is a purpose but its not virtuous. PEACE is a purpose and a virtue. Truthfulness is a purpose and a virtue. Justice is a purpose and a virtue. I think you are working for social justice. I see you as a philosopher struggling with the concept of money and the implementation of that idea in society. Are you a philosopher? Are you a political activist? Are you a politician? I met a young man once who proclaimed I hate politics. I asked him Do you love money? He said that he did whereupon I told him Money is ENTIRELY political. I notice that you talk a great deal about stories but very little about politics. That makes me wonder if you are perhaps a schmoozer ---- someone who tries to make everyone feel good about doing evil. You see, I think we do evil every time we use money, regardless of what purpose we serve and what actions we take. The evil we do is to subjugate QUALITY to QUANTITY. We make our virtue serve the idea that quantity matters most. Thats evil. Its the essence of evil. We should make quality matter most and quantity should serve quality. Money reverses the priority of things. Quality matters most but money teaches us that QUANTITY MATTERS MOST. Do you see? I listen carefully to your videos for the word evil in relation to money. I havent heard it yet. I suggest you include it in an appropriate way. Given that you are trying to make us feel good about doing evil, I suggest you ask people the following question: Is money as a system more good than evil or more evil than good? Put it in the balance. I think you will find that it is clearly more evil than good. Look at how we are destroying the ecosystem for the sake of money. Look at how so many relationships are destroyed for the sake of money. Look at how we spend our time with each other and how so many good activities are replaced with evil ones. Look at how money steals our time, attention and love. The Bible tells us to judge by the fruits. What are the FRUITS of money? Greed. Selfishness. Denial. War. Terrorism. Stagnation. Ecocide. I have been asking a somewhat obvious question every time I hear about a terrorist incident: Did the terrorist have a good job with health benefits? I doubt it. The biggest terrorist on the planet is the money system which creates much more poverty than wealth. I suspect terrorists are poor people .... poor in spirit as well as money. Do you think we can get a Rand study of this subject? Is terrorism a fruit of the money system? How would we know? Do we have enough money to find out the truth? Perhaps we dont need money to know the truth. Perhaps we already know it but we arent willing to speak it. Perhaps we need the courage to speak the truth. Dont assume people understand that money is an evil system. Say the word. Words have power. Judgment is necessary to achieve justice. Money is EVIL. Thats the judgment. We need to hear it, especially from well respected philosophers and social leaders like yourself. Blessings!
